Inspired by Shakespeare’s most famous plays and with a nod to Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, Bard Heads imagines what might have happened next in ‘Twelfth Night’.

It is three months since Malvolio’s brief imprisonment and public humiliation over the wearing of yellow stockings. At the time he vowed to be revenged on the whole pack of them and has wasted no time in keeping his word. As the waves thunder their applause Malvolio smiles to himself, knowing he who laughs last, laughs longest.

“Beautifully performed and chillingly convincing! We were riveted, glued to every word and nuance!”

EDGELARKS - Live in concert with intoBodmin

Live online performance

Fri 23rd October

8pm | £15 (only 50 available)

Having had to postpone their gig at The Old Library until 2021, we are excited to offer a very special online gig. Phil and Hannah will play a full two set concert, followed by a chat and Q&A in the Zoom bar!

Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin have proved themselves one of the most captivating and innovative acoustic duos in the UK - winning the 'Best Duo' accolade at the 2014 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and being nominated for the same title again in both 2016 and 2018.

It's a class act built on Henry's much extolled musicianship, Martin's highly original songwriting and her deep, soulful voice.

This duo has a combination of virtuosity, intensity and charisma
that merits a slot on much bigger stages"

John L. Walters, The Guardian

Inspired by Shakespeare’s most famous plays and with a nod to Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, Bard Heads imagines what might have happened next in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

Her best friend hits the bottle, her father sees fairies, her husband is stressed at work and then someone close makes a pass at her! No wonder Hermia is having a mid-life crisis. It’s thirty years since that strange night in Athens Wood – could the magic finally be wearing off……….?

“More need to see this beautiful piece of theatre which, I have no doubt, The Bard himself would be proud of.”

Live online performance

Thursday 8th October

7pm & 9pm | £3-£12 (you choose)

Back by popular demand!

We could all do with a distraction. Take a seat at the table, get ready to play.

(There’s a real cash prize at stake.) The House is on fire.

The House Never Wins by Kill The Cat Theatre invites you to play what seems to be a simple game of blackjack in the casino called “The House”. However, there’s a catch. Whilst trying to pit your luck against the dealer, you also must keep The House alive. Interacting through game play on Zoom, and with WhatsApp pinging you visual messages, surveys and puzzles, can you work together to keep The House afloat, or will the lure of a real cash prize be too much to resist? The House Never Wins is a fun, engaging and thought-provoking evening which reminds us of the importance of working together to keep our planet alive

A new interactive game theatre piece that you can play from the comfort of your own home. Exploring the climate crisis, self-isolation and gambling with the planet’s future.

You choose what you want to pay - £3-£12

The following events have been postponed from Spring 2020 to 2021. We are constantly assessing the current situation and trying to plan ahead as best we can. We know there is a chance that these events will have to be pushed back further, but please be assured that your ticket will be honoured if we postpone and refunded if we have to cancel.

For the first time in over a decade, Lau present an entirely acoustic tour, as part of their ‘Unplugged’ Concert Tour 2020.

The pioneering Scottish folk trio have been acknowledged as phenomenal live performers (‘the UK's best live band’ – the Guardian), and now their Unplugged concert tour sees traditional music’s most celebrated innovators strip away their banks of electronics, loops and wild effects. In brash and polarised political times, here is the poetry of real instruments and considerate music making.

The St Petroc’s Sessions offer a rare opportunity to enjoy live music from big-name headliners and emerging local talent.
