Production by Jupiter creatives

Bodmin Keep

Saturday 26th June 2021 | 6pm (Doors 5.15pm)

Jupiter Creatives brings you a raucous and joyful version of Shakespeare’s classic comedy complete with an original folk-rock score, performed live. Sword fights, songs and silliness abound from this company of rollicking Actor-Musicians who’ll bring the tale of Illyria alive in Cornwall'.

A thunderous shipwreck… a brother lost at sea… an adventure begins…

Viola is searching for her brother. However Duke Orsino is searching for love. Meanwhile Lady Olivia just wants to be left alone.

In a place where trickery and tomfoolery are commonplace, things never quite go as planned, do they?

New date:

Friday 4th February 2022 | Doors 8pm

Benjamin Francis Leftwich has announced an intimate UK tour for February and March 2020, which will see him play in venues he hasn't before around the country. We’re thrilled to announce that he’ll be performing in Bodmin as one of our St Petrocs Sessions, organised by intobodmin and Cabaret Voltaire.

The St Petroc’s Sessions are a series of concerts offering a rare opportunity to enjoy live music and entertainment in the beautiful setting of Cornwall’s largest church, St Petroc’s in Bodmin, which dates from the 15th Century. Expect big-name headliners and a platform for local talent.

Bodmin Keep

Wednesday & Thursday 21st & 22nd July 2021 | 6pm (Doors 5.15pm)

It is October 1957 and the world lives in fear of nuclear armageddon. Russia has just launched Sputnik1, UFOs seem to be cropping up everywhere. M15 is on high alert. In a garden shed, Stanley is building something out of this world.

He may live in suburbia but, in his mind, Stanley is voyaging through outer space. He hopes to make contact with other life forms. His neighbour, Gwen, thinks he should be exploring the unknown much closer to home…

A comedy about obsession and the rekindling of love, hope and possibility.

St Petroc's Church

NB: New date

Saturday 19th February 2022 | Doors 7pm

For the first time in over a decade, Lau present an entirely acoustic tour, as part of their ‘Unplugged’ Concert Tour 2020.

The pioneering Scottish folk trio have been acknowledged as phenomenal live performers (‘the UK's best live band’ – the Guardian), and now their Unplugged concert tour sees traditional music’s most celebrated innovators strip away their banks of electronics, loops and wild effects. In brash and polarised political times, here is the poetry of real instruments and considerate music making.

The St Petroc’s Sessions offer a rare opportunity to enjoy live music from big-name headliners and emerging local talent.

The St Petroc’s Sessions are a series of concerts offering the rare opportunity to experience headline acts alongside the best local talent, right here in Bodmin.
