About The Event

Bodmin Riding is Bodmin's ancient annual town festival. The 'Trial of the Beast of Bodmin' has become a controversial part of the Bodmin Riding & Heritage Festival in recent years, but the incredible roots of this modern tradition date back centuries and are steeped in Bodmin's history.

Come along to intoBodmin's The Old Library and meet some of the Beast’s Keepers!

Join members of The Ragadaziow, the unruly town elders and keepers of The Beast, as they tell us more about their role in the Riding celebrations, the modern tradition of the Beast, and the fascinating history where it all began.

This event is free to attend, but donations towards the Bodmin Riding Festival are welcome on the door.

Bodmin Riding & Heritage wishes to thank intoBodmin for their fantastic support, the use of their venue for committee meetings, and for kindly hosting this event at The Old Library.

If you'd like to find out more about the Bodmin Riding Festival, visit the website, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
