Where is Words in Woods?
At the beautiful Cardinham Woods, in Bodmin. There will be events happening both inside marquees and outside in the areas around the Woods Café.
How do I get to Cardinham Woods?
To get there from Bodmin, it’s a 10 minutes’ drive. Take the first exit on the Carminnow Cross roundabout (to Plymouth) and then the first exit at the Turfdown roundabout. Then follow the signs to Cardinham Woods.
To get there from the Truro direction, come off the A30 at Bodmin and follow signs for Plymouth and A38. There are signs to Cardinham Woods from the start of the A38.
Where should I park?
There is a car park at Cardinham Woods run by the Forestry Commission, which costs around £5 for the day, or we're encouraging car sharing from Bodmin: parking at Priory Cark Park is free on Sundays.
Do I need to book in advance?
Tickets to Words in Woods are limited so we'd strongly advise booking in advance.
What's happening at Words in Woods?
There are all kinds of events and activities for all ages, including live performances, creative workshops and much more. For more information and to see the line-up, please see the Words in Woods page here.
What happens if it rains?
Most (if not all) of our outdoor activities will be moved indoors, but we'd still advise that you dress for the weather, especially with suitable shoes for outdoor areas.
Once I’m inside, are places on the workshops and readings limited?
During certain workshops and activities where places are limited, we will allocate places on a first come, first served basis, so please check the Words in Woods page for the line-up and timings, and make sure you arrive early to your preferred activities to avoid disappointment.
Will there be food and drink availiable?
Yes. Woods Café will be open during the day. You can find out more about Woods Café, here.
