Our Ticket Prices Explained

In everything we do, we aim to support our community. We want to give all kinds of people from all backgrounds and walks of life access to culture in Bodmin. Culture doesn’t have to be a scary word – we define it as anything people do together: for example, watching a show, creating something, sharing a meal.

At The Old Library everyone is welcome. There’s no dress code and no judgement, just come along and enjoy yourself.

We know that one of the largest barriers to people coming along is money. We know that with a family everything gets more expensive, and that there are a lot of people in Bodmin who work really hard to make ends meet. We’ve tried to price our tickets fairly so that our audiences can come and enjoy themselves, while also supporting our touring companies and our work here at The Old Library. (If you want to learn more about our relationship with touring companies, take a look here.)

We know there are people out there who might struggle to come to our shows even with our improved ticket prices. We really want these people to know that income doesn’t matter at intoBodmin – if you want to see a show or bring your children to see a show and you can’t afford it, just get in touch. We have Pay it Forward tickets which we are happy to give out to people in our community, and other ways we can get you involved and able to enjoy our shows.

We want the people of Bodmin to benefit from the work we’re doing here – not just by bringing amazing shows but by bringing amazing shows to everyone. You just have to get in touch and ask us. In return we just ask for some positivity: tell your friends and family what a great time you had, tag @intobodmin in social posts and get involved with the other things happening in your community.

We will keep putting on as many free events as we can, especially for children, and there are certain events which by necessity must be priced differently (such as the St Petroc’s Sessions, where big name acts mean a bigger budget must be spent), but in general, as of August 2019 -

Our ticket prices for events at The Old Library are as follows:

Live music

Standard £10

Concession £8 – This is for anyone who feels that £10 is too much for their budget. We don’t ask you to prove anything, it’s just an option to help you come and enjoy our shows!

Young Person (under 18) £5 – Again, we won’t ask you to prove your age, but you might be asked your date of birth on the door.

Children’s shows

Adult £8

Children £6

In addition, you can purchase Pay it Forward tickets for £10 / £8 / £5

These are valid for all of our performances and we’ll give these out to people who approach us who can’t afford to come otherwise. Buying one of these will really help ensure that we’re reaching the people in the community who are otherwise unable to engage with culture.
